Fairmount Coast Retreats Reviews

For us, there is nothing better than a happy customer. And we have lots of them! Here are just a few that let us know how much we meant to them.

Visited Portrush with extended family and loved the accomodation. Everything was as we expected; clean and very nice. Great location with easy accessibility to local sites. Will stay at the Fairmount Coast Cottage on our next trip to Northern Ireland.

What an excellent property, most definitely 5 stars, everything from the welcoming scones, wheaten bread, cupcakes and one of my favorite wines Pinot Grigio to the rooftop terrace and outdoor dining area. This is Quality accommodation all around, the equipment in the kitchen, the standard of TV and sound equipment the sanitary ware, showers and the sprung divan bases. Our accommodation had a Jacuzzi bath in the Master En-suite. The accommodation has Sky TV as a standard and available to watch in all rooms, this is an added luxury as we are used to bringing out own Sky Card or resorting to watching on line via the internet on our laptops. Outside the grounds are in excellent order, very tidy, every detail has been attended to, I did notice that even the windows were spotless which cannot be said for every property i have ever visited. The roof top terrace is an excellent addition and a most pleasant spot to enjoy your complimentary bottle of wine. The house is in a very quiet residential area, a cul-de-sac, so very quiet, no through traffic, it is very convenient to the town, a pleasant walk along the strand takes you to lots of bars and restaurants in the Harbour area about 15 minutes walk. We have been to many Self Catering Accommodation right across GB and Ireland but this has to be the No.1. Cannot recommend it highly enough

We hired both Fairmount properties for a group of friends to attend a wedding. They are very special with all mod cons, beautiful appointed rooms and lots of space for extended family groups or friends. We had a great time over the long weekend fully utlising all the communal rooms on offer including the roof terrace. The downside is we enjoyed the properties so much we didn't venture out very far! Having said that the local coast is very special and we did enjoy some refreshing walks along the headlands, causeway and beaches. Joanne the host was really helpful and the welcoming packs including some lovely scones and pancakes well received (not to mention the wine). I can't recommend the properties enough and we wouldn't hesitate to return.

Joanne has created a holiday rental property equipped to the finest standard throughout. The house has everything to keep both adults and children happy. Our last evening on the roof terrace at sunset (with a glass of wine!) is a memory that will keep us going throughout the winter. Thank you for providing the perfect retreat for our last week of the holidays.

What a fabulous house. We were 4 couples so each had their own bedroom and on-suite facilities. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Amazing rooftop seating area and the garden was excellent with a gas barbecue, 5 star covered seating and eating area. Kitchen was large and had absolutely everything we needed. The owner met us personally on arrival and gave us some good tips for eating & shopping etc.. Best tip was to go to Toms Butchers in Portstewart if we were going to BBQ and it certainly didn't dissapoint. All in all a great 5 start experience, in fact we didn't want to leave after the week was over. Would definitely go back for seconds!

This was our first trip to Northern Ireland. We came to play in the Irish & British Senior Women's Golf Championships at Castlerock & Royal Portrush. This location was perfect. We were six in total...each of us had our own perfectly appointed bedrooms & en suites for total privacy. That also extended to the lovely backyard & gardens, & of course the rooftop terrace. Joanne thinks of everything from scones, Irish pancakes & delicious Irish butter, baked goods, milk, coffee, tea & a bottle of wine. We were lucky to have a chef in our group who found the kitchen perfectly appointed. We were a short walk from the beach & all of the activities & restaurants at the Portrush harbour. Just a walk around the block to access the convenient train system for visits to Derry & Belfast! We have already recommended this property to friends in Canada, & can't wait to get back again!

We had a wonderful stay in the cottage. The house is beautifully appointed and spacious, perfect for our large group of eight. The house is decorated and furnished to a very high standard. We especially loved the breeze house in the garden and the large jacuzzi bath in the master ensuite! Joanne a has thought of everything, there is nothing we could have asked for to improve our stay!

Group of eight golfers just returned from Portrush where we rented out both the Lodge and the Cottage. We could not have been more pleased with the homes. They were beautifully furnished with every accessory that one could desire. The owner, Joanne Robinson, met us at the homes and was a delight to work with. These homes are everything and more as advertised and i could not recommend them highly enough. I would absolutely rent them again.

We loved this cottage! We are definitely coming back. The cottage is beautiful and very comfortable, it really felt like home from home. I cannot fault it! The location is very central and ideal for children if you fancy a day out on the beach, down to Bushmills or the rope bridge walk. Well worth the money! We had a fabulous break!
